I loved this. The stark contrast between the normalcy outside and the turmoil in Sirius’ mind makes for a perfect juxtaposition.

Characterising parts of each marauder by their preferred choice of alcohol works a treat, too. Sirius’ genteelness is far too often forgotten about in light of his outgoing nature.

A body is a thing to be marked, with scratches and bites of love as much as with welts and torn flesh. That’s why they like to be pale, after all, that’s why they like to have such delicate skin.
