This is absolutely brilliant. I loved the way you handled the interactions between the characters. There seemed to be a distance and intimacy between different people all at once.

The way you had Remus purposefully estranging himself from the Marauders; yet, he resented Peter less. That about broke me.

There is something in Remus’ smile, something beneath the calm politeness that makes the hair stand on his neck.

I really liked that description because Remus always seems so calm, too calm. But in that, there's something lurking underneath which fits perfectly.

And I'm always a fan of Remus/Lily, so I was so happy to see that. I'll stop rambling now because I think if I don't, I might quote the whole story back to you. This was just really well done. :D
