I finished the story, and even though I agree with other commentators that you left the boys off the hook too easily (perhaps the story is a bit too *short* in the end, surprisingly),I enjoyed the war atmosphere immensely.
I've read only 3 of your stories so far, and I find that you are best when you are at your most depressing. I love to get depressed by you ;).
