Dooo iiit. Train tickets aren't THAT expensive if you book well in advance, and you can get pretty cheap accomodation too. (Travel lodge is always an option, or even hostels if you're not opposed to those. Y'know, take the low-budget rock and roll approach. *g*) If you could drag other people with you and make a weekend out of it, all the better! Counting it as a proper trip away makes the expense seem far less extravagant.

(Also? If you came to the Newcastle show, I would totally protect you from all the scary teenagers. Or not! If you want to avoid crazy internet people then that's fine, hee. Just thought I'd offer.)
