There's a Travelodge in Newcastle City Centre, they're normally pretty cheap.

Oh, and there's actually a hotel directly opposite the arena called Jury's Inn. They're a bit more expensive than Travelodge, but I don't think they're super-expensive, so that would be perfect if you wanted to be close to the arena.

Heh, no worries, it was very helpful. I ended up booking travelodge as it was really cheap. Now I just need to figure out how to get from the arena to the hotel...;)

Well I'm not sure what time the gig will finish, but the arena is very close to Newcastle Central Station, and you can get the metro from there to Manors Station, which is close to the hotel, for a couple of quid, and they run until 11.22pm.
