i. I met
airinshaw today and she was utterly lovely. We had a most delightful chat about stroking Rodney McKay's belly and RayK's freakishness and how, precisely, Panic at the Disco lends itself to group slut fic. And how we are expecting the next installment of Supersaturation with avid glee. Also, FRANK!
ii. There's squeeing all over my flist about Frank Iero marrying his long-term girlfriend, and I kind of want to make a post about how tragic it is to have another good woman fall into the clutches of patriarchy by participating in the inherently sexist institution of marriage, but then I start thinking about Frank Iero as a tool of patriarchy and. Well.
Frank Iero ≈ tool of patriarchy = instant giggles.
So I guess I'll say good for them instead. *g* And what is particularly wonderful about this is seeing how quickly our fandom smacks down anyone who dares to say anything disparaging about Jamia Nestor. There are ugly stereotypes about how female fans of hot male stars are expected to behave in such situations, and I'm glad to see them overturned. :)
iii. Who's excited about seeing Panic this week? Who's enjoying the new songs? Who wants to make out with Brendon Urie behind the stage? Tell me all your secret Panic-related/induced/inspired thoughts!
iv. Ryan Ross is funny-looking. No wait, that's not news. *g*

I am having a vague Panic fic idea that involves them somehow being on one of those massive summertime tours with a gajillion other bands, and it being hot and sticky and pre-thunderstormy, and Brendon being on the bus too long and sulky and cross and their body-guard dude (whose name I've now forgotten) taking him out for a walk/piggy-back ride around to listen to the bodyguard gossip. During all of this they meet up with Worm and then I guess it starts to thunder and pour, and anyway they end up on the MCR bus, where Patrick and Gerard are conducting story hour by candlelight with a bunch of other bandom people. (Patrick is doing most of the complicated moves because Gerard is stuck under Frank, who is asleep in his lap.) Anyway, Brendon gets dried off and fed cookies and gets yanked into one of the cuddlepiles and, in general, feels much better.
also, I am all in favor of the new songs.

(And bandom's reaction is awesome - especially compared to the SPN RPS fans)
And I wish I could be going to see Panic! Seeing them live has suddenly become one of my goals in life.
(And I'm still blaming you for tempting me with bandom fic in the first place. It has eaten my brain!)
