To be honest, I used to be suspicious of band tattoos as well, so I can see what you mean. There are many bands that I love but wouldn't get tattoos about , precisely because of that. However, there have been a few bands that are MYBANDOMG to such an extent (and with such longevity) that I know I won't ever not love them, or ever regret the tattoo even if I stopped listening to the music. My Chem is one of them (others being U2 and The Divine Comedy), and well, Gerard. It's not even about whether I will listen to I'm Not Okay in ten years time - even if I don't, it will still be a song about non-conformity and one that makes me gleeful about not-conforming, and it will never be a bad song or a meaningless song, if that makes sense? But I'm still debating, so we'll see. ;)
