quite incidentally, I seem to have good news

1. Have found a new flat. It's twice the size of my old one, and costs £100 more per month, but it's big and lovely and I will have storage space and a bath tub! Can't tell you how excited I am about that. I haven't so much as seen a bath tub in years.

2. I've also got a job, thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It's part time academic, and only enough to pay my rent and bills, but still, money to live on. I can't tell you how relieved I am.

3. I'll be moving house in the next few days, and then won't have internet for a week or two. Virgin media sucks so much. They are also refusing to provide me with cable tv, which means no more Catch Up On Demand for me. ARGH.

4. There are more insects in my flat. Fortunately, I will soon be gone and never see them again. Mwhahahaaa.

5. How is you? I owe sionnain Pete/Patrick recs, but all these various messes have made my head explode so it could be while until I can post that.

I can't quite believe it myself. I'll still another job for food and wine purposes, but at least that will be rent and bills covered! And an academic job, which makes my cv look a whole lot better...means I can stop panicking quite so much. :)

I am OK. Still mad as a badger, of course, and v much looking forward to start of term so I get some bloody peace for a change. Am having vague thoughts about writing a book, but don't hold me to it.
