My birthday

i. It's my birthday! I'm 27! Bring on the porn!

Ahem.

ii. Yet, clearly I am getting older. There were wrinkles in my forehead today (too much raising of eyebrows, no doubt) and yesterday I found myself shouting abuse at Radio 4 (well, there was a program about damaged hands and the woman was saying how that's such an inconvenience for people who work with their hands. As opposed to people who use their hands to get dressed in the morning or to cook food or to open doors or to cut their nails. Argh.)

iii. It's raining and they are tearing up the road outside my house. I'm sure I ordered sunshine and birdsong.

iv. I got loot! My housemate gave me a copy of Lattimore's The Iliad, which I've been fondling in bookshops for a long time. And:

kabeyk wrote me Dirty Rascal, Draco/Neville and it's gorgeous and will show to any unbelievers what a great pairing this is.

nellie_darlin wrote me The Boundary Commission, Remus/Blaise (kind of), which again, shows what can be done with this fascinating pairing.

v. I shall be around receiving presents *looks suggestively at flist* today until five, after which time I shall be getting drunk with my friends. I have so far promised to take pictures of my tattoo and my freckles. Anyone want anything else? ;)

Happy birthday! Hands glass of red wine over - it's Australian, but much nicer than the Oz stuff we get in the UK.
