One of the first novel-length fanfics I ever read was Snape/Hermione, mostly because I was all "WTF?" over how popular the pairing was. It wasn't as bad as I expected, but it didn't exactly convert me, obviously.

lyras wrote one for a challenge about nine months ago, but both the title and the link escape my memory. It think it was for sycophanthex, and she even won a prize. It features Darcy-ish!Snape, so if you're interested, I'm sure there is a link somewhere in her journal. Should be June/July/August 2005.
