i. I woke up this morning at eleven to find a strange man poking his head into my bedroom. I was most disturbed, until he made clear that he was there to fix my radiator, after which I was most pleased with him. Have heating now! *fondles radiator, except from a distance because it's hot*

ii. Have started remix. Have great hopes it will be finished in time, or possibly even early.

iii. Got more loot! And shame on me for not pimping these earlier. Both [livejournal.com profile] xellas and [livejournal.com profile] eudaimon have permission to spank me.

[livejournal.com profile] eudaimon wrote In America, which is a continuation of her most wonderful novel about Rupert the Redcoat Boy, and includes Rupert Emerson/Mal McKinnon.

[livejournal.com profile] xellas wrote The Case of the Unspeakable Crime which is the most delicious Remus/Sirius.

iv. Another thing. I know you all read fic. That's what we're here for, after all, and many of us read the same things, pairings, scenarios. However, we all have our guilty pleasures as well, rarer pairings that no one else seems to like (Remus/Blaise, anyone? *g*). So what I would like is for you to rec me a story. The best story you've read in the last week. No matter the pairing, popular or not, famous or not. It can be Snarry, or Ginny/Luna, or *gasp* even Remus/Tonks if anybody here is perverted enough to read that. Tell me the best story you read this week.

Please? *smiles winsomely*

Welllllll, I read this a couple of weeks ago, but it's very excellent and if you haven't yet read it (which you might've already!) you should!

You Could've Had It So Much Better (http://sazzlette.livejournal.com/163923.html) by [livejournal.com profile] sazzlette. Reg/Remus, hints of R/S. :)

And erm, how bizarre to find that man in your room!! I reckon I would've screamed.

I've not been reading much fic this week because I've been trying to keep my head below the parapet while I catch up with writing. However...I think [livejournal.com profile] xellas's The Case of the Unspeakable Crime is probably the best thing I've come across over the past few days. You're so lucky! :D

Good question, though - I may well copy the idea!

I read hardly any fics these days, suffering from a certain fanfiction weariness, I guess, but I gave this one a try: Lick (http://snegurochka-lee.livejournal.com/71871.html) by [livejournal.com profile] snegurochka_lee. It's Lily/SiriusPadfoot and it's, um, hot. Really. I'm not at all into bestiality, but something possessed me to follow the link and I didn't regret it. It's got delightful characterisation of both Lily and Sirius (who is hot), delightfully understated communication which, unlike bestiality, is a major kink of mine, and licking. And it feels amazingly realistic.

Of course, I'm very fond of Sirius/Lily and am therefore biased in this fic's favour, but even if you're not, it is so very worth reading.

Definitely Dawn To Dust (http://community.livejournal.com/erotic_elves/172687.html) by [profile] starrysummer, though that's subject to change at any time, given my wonderfully talented f-list. But yes. It's Bellatrix/Sirius, absolutely fantastic.

I've read almost nothing recently because of the gazillion errands I've been doing and [livejournal.com profile] springtime_gen, but [livejournal.com profile] a_t_rain just started a very promising bit of MWPP gen called Correspondence Course (http://a-t-rain.livejournal.com/57986.html).

Dear The Wiz,
I am a young wizard of good family who has renounced his upbringing and now wishes to join the proletariat. I read in your advertisement that you are looking for workers to exploit. Exploit me, please.

Do I really get to spank you? Yay!

I can't think of anything I've read in the past week that you wouldn't have seen already, which I'm going to insist is a compliment to our mutual good taste. ^__^

Best thing I've read this week was from another fandom *blush*. I've been neglecting HP a bit because up until recently there weren't very many fics being written and I needed a way to pass the time.

You've been cheating on HP with another fandom? How very naughty of you. ;) Dare I ask what it was?

The new series of Doctor Who. I originally watched it just so I could read what [livejournal.com profile] casirafics wrote about it and understand it. Then I got addicted. Everyone should watch the show (since there's only 14 episodes right now *cough cough*). I was even slightly ashamed of myself when I realized I loved a het pairing. But there's an openly bisexual character on the show so it's open to a lot of threesomes.

Mmm, tough question. It's the thought that holds you upwards (http://sazzlette.livejournal.com/157563.html) by [livejournal.com profile] sazzlette. It's kind of an old fic, but I was going through her memories and found this amazing little thing. :) Sirry, and I feed dirty just by reading that, but she writes it so yummy like.

Being away is no good for my sieve-like memory...

Happy belated birthday, dear! Many happy returns, and I hope you had the most wonderful day. *squishes*

Thanks to your earlier post asking for Snape/Hermione, I've read hardly anything else this week...

As for guilty pleasures - I have a bizarre desire to read Luna/James (Or any other of the Marauders. Luna/Remus also sounds like fun)Sadly this seems to be a pairing so rare that it has no fic :(

Yay for shipping characters unaware of each other's existence!
