What a wonderful fic! I've had it marked since you posted it, but just got the chance to read. I love the way it enters James's head. I rarely read MWPP fic - the better it is, the more sad it makes me - but this was good. Like echoes of Harry (well, not echoes, I guess - whatever the opposite it), but not quite because there's a confidence there amid the brash/shy starts.
