AHA! Harry would have done in Slytherin as well, you know! But mainly it's because I like the idea of a sulky little John being trodded upon because he's a Slytherin and there was always something a bit strange about him and he wasn't like other boys and...ahem. Also, John does have a dark side (which is a stupid expression, but I know you know what I mean because you've seen how pretty he is with it).
And Ronan is going to be Keeper of the Keys. And John makes Rodney come and have tea in the cottage while Rodney complains a lot until he and Ronon bond over food.
This just keeps growing in my head. You shouldn't feed it, you know!
