Review: SG1 10.11 The Quest 2
Jan. 9th, 2007 09:28 pmWhee!
Darryl the Dragon! Daniel running after Vala! Teal'c not letting Cameron take the C4! So many lovely things!
I'm quite sad that they've cancelled the show, now that I've got so into it. But this was a great episode for Vala/Daniel shippers, Vala/Cameron shippers, Cameron/Daniel shippers and, if such creatures exist, Sam/Ba'al shippers. Being all of those myself (except the last *shudders*), I'm very, very happy. All kinds of grabbing and touching! Hurt/comfort! Vala smirking! Cameron calling "Jackson...Daniel"!
And I'm particularly pleased to see the ease with which they keep touching each other, for comfort, for security, for attention. Very different from SGA.
Tomorrow, The Return 2! *pines*

Date: 2007-01-09 11:21 pm (UTC)Because, well, in the - lets say classical - seasons you only had, within the team, the mandatory heterosexual UST relationship in the form of Jack/Sam (a pairing which I like in canon when they don't try to force the point or do the whole this-and-so-happened-but-lets-forget-about-it-so-we-can-do-it-all-over-again-next-episode) and the much fandom adored (practically 99% from what I've seen) Jack/Daniel.
The other pairings... well.
Sam/Daniel is nerdy and awkward and doesn't really work for me; Sam/Teal'c is not... feasible... O.o; and Jack/Teal'c... ah. IthinkJack/Teal'cismyguiltypleasureOTPactually.
(All the insipid, rushed, plot-devicy, alien, matrimonial, sexual and true!love relationships that otherwise abound aren't really... inspiring, so they don't count.)
It's good to know that there's more physicality and emotional affinity between the characters.
