As I begin my thirty-first year

Today is my thirtieth birthday. I intend to spend a large part of it in bed with my laptop, since that is what I enjoy most in the world. :)

There will also be birthday cake at some point - well, birthday apple and pear crumble which I shall make myself and hopefully other people will show up because it would be very sad if I had to eat my birthday cake by myself - and Thai food and lots of wine. But I'm pretty sure none of that is going to be as much as fun as sitting on my bed with a cup of tea and all of YOU at my fingertips. As it were.

This, I guess, is as much as proof of old age as anything.


Righty-ho. Feel free to shower me with presents now. *waits*
