(no subject)

My friends, I have a cold. My lungs are full of snot and I keep coughing in a disgustingly wet manner, and although I don't feel dizzy and my nose isn't running, I do feel a bit sick.

However, there is a party tonight. A friend's birthday party, for whom i have promised to make An Introduction To The Emo Cult cd (which at the moment consists of four cds, um, I got a little carried away). I kind of want to go to the party.

What should I do?

I understand the dilemma as I'm also meant to be going to a party tonight (dressed as Doris Lessing, don't ask) and, though not sick, I'm completely shattered as my housemate and her friend decided that 4am was the perfect time to have a loud row..... but I plan to neck red bull and go to the party anyway so I think you should do the same!

Plenty of red wine and a wee brandy chaser (better still, armagnac or cognac if possible) are the best cold-cure known to womankind. Believe me, I've tested this many times. Not so good for nausea though.....

They're keeping its birth quiet, so as to allow them time to figure out how to explain the tail and horns.

J/K. They probably just want a little privacy. If Ashley's overdue she's probably not feeling her best, and if the baby's been born and they're hiding it they probably just want time to enjoy it before the paparazzi work themselves into a froth.
