Heh. Snape as vampire came from the idea that he got a copy of Interview with the Vampire (first published in 1976, I think) and decided to be Louis.
I admit the Room of Requirement is a kind of easy way of getting privacy, and I did need the bed for the final scene. Do they actually say they don't know about it? It's been too long since I read OotP, and have just taken other fanfic as indication. Although considering the Marauder's Map, I suppose you could argue that they might be aware of it. And no vanishing spell in canon *g* Although I doubt JKR is going to do a scene where it would necessary. As for the switching gears, I just wanted to create a sense of surprise for Sirius, because with Lily, Remus was calm and in control, and then Sirius was trying to get him lose control by needling him (as he does). I wanted to make it be a bit more than he bargained for, to begin with. Also I like the idea of Sirius wearing nothing but Hessian boots. But fair enough, I shall take your advice into consideration for the next thing. :)
And yes, 18 year old wizards being depressed...giving twentysomething women the excuse to wallow in their inner adolescent agnst...
But thank so much, for all your lovely comments and for the rec! It thrills me that you took such time for this.
