kabeyk wrote A Holiday of Sorts, which is one the best fics I've read in a long time. If you like Remus/Sirius, you will want to read this. There's a story, Sirius goes to visit Remus for the Christmas in sixth year, but what happens is not about the events. There is a plot and a world shown and experienced here, but what makes the story so brilliant is the characterisation. Sirius and Remus are not quite like they have been before, but they are made alive in the text, and they are real and boyish and lovely and painful. There is tension and anxiety, and longing and homesickness and realisations. And it made me kind of cry.

kabeyk has been a great writer for some time. Many of us have enjoyed her delightful and delicious porn. This is something else. This is better than porn. (Yes, there is something better than porn.) So go read! You will regret it if you don't!
