Does any of you watch Stargate SG1? *pokes flist*

It occurs to me that with the Sky One showing of SG1 10.11 tonight, I might be seeing it earlier than those of you in the US and Canada and elsewhere. Is anyone interested in discussing the show? Or will I be just talking to myself, as usual? *g*

I'm currently in the process of rewatching SG1 (I just started on season 5), having watched it up till the beginning of season 8 (at which point my video broke down and it began to be too much of a hassle to try and follow it).

Actually, I think our national channels are still stuck on the 8th season, so whatever episode you're seeing is going to be way beyond what I'm going to see in the foreseeable future.

(What exactly are you seeing, btw?)

Season 10, the latter half. So lots of Vala and Cameron and the Ori. ;)

Okay, I had to actually go research those names on wikipedia, that's how far back I am. (And I actually rejoiced on at least knowning Vala. I saw the episode, just didn't remember her name. X)

And - imagine this - I didn't even know Jack kicked himself out of the show (I know that he was endeavouring on a smaller role, yes, but not to the point of not being there!).

Tell me the show is not without redemption.
Hell! Tell me if this Cameron-guy makes a better impression than Jonas did!

Cameron is very pretty and very watchable. He makes a good addition to the team, and they all rub off each other quite well. *g* And Vala, of course, is magnificent. I think seasons 9 and 10 are infinitely superior to the earlier stuff. :)

That's a relief, at least. I'm not at all against different and new, as long as it's different and new and still good. :)

Vala didn't make that big an impression on me when she appeared in season 8. Seemed like one more Jackson-girl to join the hundreds he leaves across the galaxy (and hell, what's with that boy and former-Goa'uld/present Goa'ulds? A fetish, perhaps? If so, it's fortunate that Goa'uld does not equal To'kra or we'd be seeing some traumatazing romance between him and Sam XP).

But Vala, well, I skimmed her profile in Wiki and it seems a bit cliché. (But hell, when you're running on 9-10 seasons worth, those are bound happen more frequently, ne?)
