Apr. 2nd, 2010 02:27 pmDear Body,
Today is not a good day to fail. Allow me to explain why that is.
1. The thing you require in order to keep going and, specifically, to feel less nauseous - that is, food - requires us to leave the house, buy stuff, and then come home and cook the stuff. All of these things include standing up. One might even say that standing up is a prerequisite for acquiring food. Therefore, being too nauseous to stand up is A BAD IDEA.
2. I appreciate that nausea is one of the side-effects of the medications we take to make our joints less painful. However, considering that we have been on this specific medication for nine years, acquiring said side-effect now seems somewhat unlikely. You know I am paranoid about this shit. Do not make me worse. I am this close to googling symptoms of meningitis, and you know how that will end.
3. We have work to do which requires a mind that isn't distracted by questions such as 'will I faint? or 'will I throw up?'. This work is necessary to avoid starvation in the future. Remember my point about food? Yes, that requires money as well as standing up. Once I get a permanent job with things like sickdays, I promise we can be as crippled as you like, but this is not the time. Really.
with exasperated love,
me
