i. I have joined Facebook. And no, of course I'm not going to tell you which one is mine, because Real Name! Location! Dreaded Doom and Destruction! lie that way, but still, I wanted to share because argh. It is time consuming and annoying and I really feel that internet is for the porn and talking to real life friends online is just weird.

Anyway, if you are one of the maybe five people who know my real name, and would like to be friended there, then give us a shout.

ii. Have received my copy of Back Passage today. Am looking forward to consuming it with great interest. Am also considering adding 'gay porn' as one of my interests on Facebook. Hmmm. What do you think?

iii. Met donnaimmaculata yesterday, and she was lovely, and we had a nice long chat over coffee, wine, food and tea. Mostly wine, of course. :)

I'm not comfortable with Facebook either...using my real name on there just feels wrong - especially with the overly broad privacy settings. Most of what's on mine is a lie, or has been very edited for family and friends.

Yeah, it is kind of strange and disturbing. I'm used to having a certain persona in the internet, and pretending to be my actual self is very vexing. Clearly porny aliases is the way to go. :)

I joined too, just because an old friend invited me, and it's a total waste of bandwidth because I never visit it to look at the icons of my 3 or 4 friends.

Plus, no porn.

If you're brave enough to add gay porn to your interests, DO IT!! I'll cheer you from the sidelines. Although, not knowing who you are, it'll just be a vague sort of wave in the general direction of England. That's east of here, I think. ;).

People have been pestering me about Facebook, but I'm too antisocial (and frightened) to join, so I think you're very brave. And I fully support you in the internet being for porn!

Oh you should totally join. Although it does make it easier for people to stalk you, and is clearly not as clever as liverjournal. Our internet is so much better. *is smug* And not juts for the porn. :)

TBP is very good, porny and funny. However, I was very dissapointed with Hot Valley and can't recommend it. Will be doing a review which I'm dreading because I don't want James to be pissed off with me.

I don't have a Facebook because I don't agree with the concept of allowing any pesky reality interfere with my internets. Also, as you know, I don't actually like real people very much. (LJ personas are always a little bit fictional, and therefore acceptable.)

I know, I resisted this idea for so long, and even now the kind of communication they're doing seems a bit simplistic to me. Basically, livejournal is so much better. *is smug and superior*
