I watched Rocknrolla the other day, and had some thoughts. Mostly that Tom Hardy is beautiful and delightful and nngh, but also that this is a clever film, and a fun film, a film I found very enjoyable to watch and which has some moments of brilliance.

Things wot I liked:

Handsome Bob. :D

Handsome Bob coming out, and taking One Two dancing. What is says about their relationship and the potential for maneuvering within it.

Mumbles talking about Handsome Bob to One Two with delicacy and wit and a strong suggestion that One Two stops being a dick about it. *hearts Mumbles*

Handsome Bob seducing Bertie. Tom Hardy makes me ping just by existing, but with that scene it was more like PINGPINGPING. Think Benton Fraser and Ray Kowalski levels of PING.

Handsome Bob teasing One Two with his seductive voice. Also hilarious, also PING.

The scene with Yuri and Stella on the boat, where he tries to come on to her and she tries to be professional. I found that scene very uncomfortable to watch,and I suspect it's because I recognised the situation - I suspect many of you would as well - you know, that situation where you're not interested but can't piss them off and have to play nice, and they try to be "friendly" and refuse to acknowledge all your polite signs of not being interested. It was interesting that in a film with very few women at all, Guy Ritchie chooses to show that. I'm thinking this is a reason for me to see more of his films. Why can't he hire Tom Hardy for Sherlock Holmes II? He could be the rent boy that comes between Holmes and Watson! You'd watch that, don't front.

In other news, what are you wearing to the My Chem show? :D :D :D :D

I'm thinking black PVC trousers because a)I have them, and haven't worn them in ages, b)they would be really warm, what with all the walking and waiting that I expect will happen, and c) they would be shiny, and shiny is a thing Gerard likes.

Naturally, I would have to add some colour as well, so I'm thinking bright green sleeveless top with a green bowtie (&hearts fleshdress &hearts). How about you?

Ahh, I love Rocknrolla and Handsome Bob and Mumbles so much! When Bob's chatting up Bertie (all sprawled across the sofa) and tells him off and Bertie just perks up. Love! I might have to watch it again.

I am wearing the most ridiculous crap to My Chem you don't even know - I have to wear shorts under my skirt it's so short! But it has braces too so it's worth it. Bright green top, bright green tights, knee high Doc Martens with green ribbons for laces, green fake eyelashes and hairspray, glittery green mask. I'm going to look like such a dick on the bus. \o/

I love Handsome Bob's command of the situation, and how Bertie just laps it up. Perhaps we can detail some part of pre-MCR time in detailing just how delightful he is?

I've never worn fake eyelashes before, but I'm sure it can't be too hard. Hmm.
