Quick query: I am looking for films/books/tv-shows where a nerdy teenage boy builds his ideal woman/ turns his invented AI into a woman. Weird Science would qualify - can anyone think of anything else?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Futurama! Fry buys a pirated Lucy Liu-bot from the internet.

There's that episode of Buffy - season 4 I think? - when one of the Big Bad nerds from season 6 is first introduced, having made himself a robot girlfriend. I'm not sure he's a teen, but he's certainly a nerdy boy.

Uh, I'm not sure if music videos would be helpful as well, but I think the one for Aerosmith's 'Hole in my soul' has a storyline similar to this.

The subplot in season 5 or 6 of Buffy is the first that comes to mind. TV Tropes has a list of some Pygmalion Plots that look like they might qualify also:

It's sort of there in the TV series Andromeda, where Harper isn't exactly a teenager (just looks like one) but definitely has teenage nerd social fail writ right through him, and uses his nerdy genius to build the corporeal avatar of the ship's AI. He then spends the rest of the series alternately bragging about his genius as her creator and (mostly) crushing hopelessly on him, while Rommie regards him as a cross between a useful but annoying servant (who can repair her ship's body) and a dim but cute human pet. Only a Harper icon to offer you which is a pity because I love Harper, true, but Rommie as played by Lexa Doig is beauty incarnate.
