Remus/Sirius recs

Friends, I find myself with a great longing for Remus/Sirius fic.
This, I find, is a longing not easily satisfied - the heydays of the fandom were on livejournal, which means that a) many of the great fics are no longer available, and b) when I try to search AO3 by kudos or bookmarks, it gives me modern things. These are not, of course, necessarily bad, but many of them are written by very young people (which, good for them! But I am too much an Old to read things by very young people.), and also, actually, quite bad. So I need your help.
Please tell me about your favourite Remus/Sirius fics. The old ones that you loved 15 years ago. The new ones you discovered this year, or last year, or five years ago, even when the fandom was mostly quiet. The ones you remember and treasure.

Date: 2019-09-27 06:31 pm (UTC)I see you don't have your HP fic on AO3 - I looked, in my search for the good stuff - would you ever put it up there or is it too much of a hassle?

Date: 2019-09-27 07:07 pm (UTC)I still occasionally come back to writing and reading about them and it's different with the extra years - possibly even sadder to think how young they were.
I did move almost all of my HP stuff to AO3 so I'm not sure why it's not showing up for you? But you can find it here. *g*

Certainly at this age I have much more of an understanding of how much you would not easily shrug off 12 years of imprisonment, even if JKR makes Sirius seem reasonably functional. Not to mention the trauma of impoverishment and living against society that Remus faced, which in the UK of the time would have been very different than it is now. The world is very different.
I am sort of now thinking about writing something (now that I am an Old, that is to say 40 - I was 25 when I first read HP, which seems so so far away), just to explore the dynamic from a different perspective.

When a craze for pulpy romance novels about Dark Creatures starts in Gryffindor, Sirius reads one about a werewolf -- and decides to write a better one
(Contains more literary theory than the summary suggests!)
One to Speak, Another to Hear by seventymilestobabylon.
The Wizarding Wars are over, but the work of recovery has only begun. Remus Lupin is trying to find his place in an ever-changing world, and when he is invited to serve on a truth and reconciliation commission, he has to confront the truth that lives there—in the past and within himself.
The Impossible Season by Coyotesuspect
Six months after falling through the Veil, Sirius comes back. As a seventeen-year-old.
Remus takes him in.
And I can't in good conscience make recs without porn, so:
Watch Me Go Blind by lefthandofglory and RuinsPlume.
In which our heroes uncover a very well-kept secret. And about damn time, too.
(Spoiler bc the summary doesn't do it justice: The secret is about shagging through a werewolf transformation)
