I know some of you have been listening to Cabin Pressure - please tell me about it! Is it worth buying? What do you like about it? I'm familiar with the general premise of the programme, but would like some more information about what makes it enjoyable.

Cabin Pressure is hilarious. I would suggest listening to a sample before committing, though, as it might not be for you. The first ep is up on youtube here. (I think they are all up on youtube)

It is utterly and completely fantastic and it is basically based around the premise of a dysfunctional group who are, when it counts, essentially a family, with all that means, and who pull together when it really counts (and rib the hell out of each other when it doesn't).

Basically it is that British thing of very funny sitcom based on bleak premise? It is all on YouTube if you want to try it! I totally adore it, I really do. It's very very funny - based mostly on wit, sarcasm and wordplay; one of the recurring themes is the two pilots playing word games on long journeys - and has surprising depth, especially in the three series-ending episodes. Basically it's both hilariously funny and very poignant, sometimes.

I really love the characters and how 'in character' they are but also how they develop. It just cracks me up nonstop.

Personally, check it out before purchase. You can mp3 from youtube with many available free apps, so you can listen in various ways before purchase. I'll get drummed out for saying this, but I find it to be not worth the purchase, rather putting funds for dvds of other stuff! What can I say, I'm visual!!1!
