I travelled among unknown men
In lands beyond the sea
Nor England did I know till then
What love I bore to thee
'Tis past, that melancholy dream
Nor will I quit thy shore
A second time, for I still seem
To love thee more and more
William Wordsworth
This has been made into a song by The Divine Comedy, which is probably the only reason I like it, as I am generally not a big fan of Wordsworth, but there is something about these poems (being the Lucy poems), some kind of sudden nostalgia for home, wherever that home might be.
